East Hampshire District Council have opened a consultation on their Local Plan which is live now, running for 8 weeks closing on Monday 16th January 2023. The consultation is seeking the views of local residents on the issues and priorities that will impact East Hampshire up to 2040.
The Local Plan sets out how the council plan to deliver homes, jobs and services to the parts of East Hampshire outside the South Downs National Park over the next two decades, along with a number of policies to help guide the details of new development proposals. The consultation will be asking questions on important issues such as the climate emergency and population change. There are no proposed housing allocations or development sites in this consultation as they will be discussed in a future consultation.
Details of the Local Plan, information to understand the issues, and other supporting documents, and the consultation can be found on East Hampshire District Council’s website at Have Your Say Today - East Hampshire Local Plan - Commonplace. Information can also be found about drop in events to discuss the Local Plan.
