Havant Borough Council have announced they will are withdrawing their emerging Local Plan which was examined by the Planning Inspectorate in 2021. Going forward, they will be creating a revised local plan to reflect the post-pandemic world.
The adopted Development Plan therefore remains as the Local Plan Core Strategy (adopted in March 2011), Local Plan Allocations (adopted in July 2014), the Emsworth Neighbourhood Plan (adopted in September 2021) and other supplementary planning documents.
This means Havant will have no 5 year housing land supply for the foreseeable future which will assist some development proposals, so long as current nitrogen neutrality requirements are met.
