The Ixworth and Ixworth Thorpe Parish Council has submitted the final version of their Neighbourhood Plan to West Suffolk Council for public review.

West Suffolk Council has launched a public consultation on the Ixworth and Ixworth Thorpe Neighbourhood Plan, inviting feedback from residents, businesses, and other stakeholders. This consultation, which is part of the Regulation 16 process under the Localism Act 2011, will run from 9 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, until 5 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024. Once adopted, this plan will become an integral part of the development framework for the area, guiding future planning decisions.

Following the consultation, an independent examiner will review the submitted Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents. The examiner’s assessment will determine whether the plan is ready to proceed to a public referendum or if further modifications are needed.
