Projects

A small selection of projects Squires Planning has undertaken since the company was established in 2019. Remember, our planners have much more experience than what is listed here...
Swanley RFC

Client: Swanley Town Council
Local Planning Authority: Sevenoaks
Planning Constraints: Countryside, Green Belt, Areas of Archaeological Potential, Kent Compendium of Historic Parks and Gardens

Squires Planning were instructed to prepare and submit proposals for new sport club facilities for Swanley Rugby Club in Swanley Park. The scheme included a new vehicular access from Leydenhatch Lane to a car park and emergency access to a new full size playing field. A spectators bund was also proposed alongside other landscaping works.

Squires Planning prepared the proposed scheme in consultation with the Town Council, bringing in necessary disciplines as required. This began with initial feasibility work regarding the potential for a new access and physical issues with the site before moving on to detailed (landscape) design and ecological implications. When ready, we prepared and submitted a planning application setting out why the proposed development was acceptable and in line with policy.

We were really pleased to see the development approved under delegated powers and look forward to seeing Swanley RFC continue to grow and cementing its place at the heart of the community.
