The London Borough of Bexley formally adopted the Bexley Local Plan on the 26th April 2023. The Plan will be used in the determination of planning applications over the period to 2038 and it replaces the Bexley Core Strategy and the remaining extant policies from the Bexley Unitary Development Plan and its proposals map. The Plan will sit alongside the London Plan in the Council’s Development Plan.
The Plan contains policies to address issues relating to sustainable development, housing, strengthening the economy, the character of the Borough, wellbeing, social and community infrastructure, accessibility to open space, provision and management of infrastructure, and adapting to and mitigating the effects of climate change.
If you have a project in Bexley, the adoption of the Local Plan will impact you.
