News & Updates

Planning updates from our team which we want to share with the world.

The Mayor of London has sent the Publication London Plan December 2020 to the Secretary of State. He now has up to 6 weeks to decide whether he is content for the Mayor to formally publish the Publication London Plan (or request a further extension of time). Once the Mayor has formally received confirmation from the Secretary of State that he is content for his Publication London Plan to be published, the Mayor will proceed with the final steps to publish his London Plan. The Secretary of State is expected to allow the new London Plan to progress however in these uncertain times, with policy changing week by week this is one to watch....

In other London centric planning news, a number of policy documents and guidance associated with the London Plan are currently out for consultation until 15 January 2021. The documents being consulted on are:

  • Good Quality Homes for all Londoners
  • Public London Charter
  • Circular Economy Statements
  • Whole-life Carbon Assessments
  • ‘Be Seen’ Energy Monitoring Guidance

In addition, The Royal Docks and Beckton Riverside Opportunity Area Planning Framework (OAPF) – vision and principles is also out to consultation until 27 November 2020.

We would be happy to submit representations on your behalf so please get in touch if you would like to respond to any of the above consultations.
